Your Support in JPO’s Challenges in the Age of Creating the 21st Century
TANABE Minoru, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra Chairman
TANABE Minoru In addition to organizing various concerts as “an orchestra which walks hand in hand with the people”, JPO offers education programs, community programs, and outreach programs for orchestras to take root in the community and share a rich music culture with a broad range of audience, thus contributing to the progress of the community and culture through music. Looking at the social situation lately, amidst continuing political and economical chaos, devastating incidents both at home and abroad saddened many of us. In such an era, the importance of music culture is growing ever stronger.
However, orchestras of all ages and cultures beginning with JPO have been able to protect music culture and progress with the support of many, unable to carry out stable activities with its work income only.
We therefore ask for your unchanging support in our extensive challenges in creating a rich community in the 21st century.
